Tour of Florence
Florence (in Italian, “Firenze”) is a must-see city for anyone who wants to experience its Renaissance enchantment at first hand, with stunning locations that time appears to have forgotten
Historically known for its political and economic power, Florence blossomed during the Renaissance (in Italian, “Rinascimento”) under the House of Medici.
Thanks to its famous artistic masters such as Michelangelo, Brunelleschi, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo, Donatello, Florence has become one of the most important capital of art worldwide. Their art and creativity are still evident in the streets, museums, churches, monuments.
Indeed, Florence preserves art in the Uffizi Gallery, the Bargello, the Galleria Palatina in Piazza Pitti, the Beaux Arts Academy, and of course, the Michelangelo’s masterpiece: “David”, and “the Prigioni” – all unmissable destinations for anyone visiting Tuscany for the first time.
Florence is not only the city of Arts, it is also the city of fashion. Every types of shops, vintage markets or designer label stores can be found around the city: the famous Via Tornabuoni, where you can find luxury Italian brands; piazza de’ Ciompi, Santo Spirito, Sant’Ambrogio vintage and antiques markets; Via De’ Calzaiuoli, Via Roma, Via della Condotta, Via della Vigna Nuova, where you will be surrounded by the most beautiful shops in town.
Tour of Chianti Countryside
The Tuscan countryside around Chianti evokes flavours and passion. A relaxing area where the frenetic pace of the city vanishes in a breath. You will enjoy the Tuscan sun, experience the Chianti wine, oil, pasta and meat, and finally you will admire the stunning valleys and landscapes.
You decide where to go and when to stop, since this will be your own personal tour!
Pisa and Lucca
Two unmissable cities that can be visited in a single day: Pisa, famous for its ancient tower, nearly 800 years old and leaning to one side,
yet miraculously standing. This miracle gives to the location its name: Piazza dei Miracoli (meaning “miracles’ square”). Here, you can also visit the cathedral, the baptistery, and the monumental cemetery.
Only 30 minutes from Pisa, Lucca has retained its original medieval fortifications, with the ancient walls surrounding the town itself. Here, you can turn back time,
in a town that speaks of the peace and simplicity of a bygone age.
Siena and San Gimignano
Two fascinating and medieval towns. The poetry and art that permeate Siena are not to be missed: famous for its Palio,
a traditional horse race held every year during the months of June and August, the Piazza del Campo, the Duomo, the Torre del Mangia. Siena hides an undying story and unmissable typical food and pastries within its many streets.
Only 20 minutes from Siena, San Gimignano, the City of Towers, is one of the most famous Italian medieval towns, offering picturesque shops, breathtaking views of the Chianti countryside and the opportunity to witness its history, still intact, in the form of its famous towers.
Pienza and Montalcino
Located in the south of Siena, between Pienza and Montalcino, there are some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world. Along the road, you will experience shortcuts, orange rays of sunlight, and picture postcard views.
In this fabulous corner of the world, nature and man are perfectly in harmony.
We recommend tasting the famous Pienza cheeses, and the famous Montalcino’s and Brunello red wine, both excellent examples of the local gastronomic delights.
Our tours are organized by Universalturismo.
